This is different

Senior professionals set out the differences that BIM can bring to health and safety assurance and why designers need to integrate the proposed new arrangements for CDM in a BIM environment.

This was part of the BIM SW Hub multi disciplinary approach to BIM and was an event hosted by Ashfords Solicitors and organised by SID in conjunction with Constructing Excellence SW and others.

Speakers were:

Prof Lamine Mahdjoubi of the University of West of England who will introduce advances in BIM, why it is different and what it can do for health and safety compliance.

Richard Voke is a former HSE inspector now a defence lawyer and Head of Business Regulatory Compliance at Ashfords. He pointed out some of the challenges such a clear audit trail can bring in health and safety investigations.

Anmarie Landi is a Senior QUENSH Compliance Professional with a background in infrastructure projects including subsurface and heavy rail and water industries. She introduced some of the benefits BIM can bring in assurance for Clients and their supply chains.
